Upon receipt of magnetic cartridges / tapes, they are packaged in standardized cartons, stored on filmed pallets.
A database inventory file is updated with each move.
Data remastered or transcribed on new media or part of ongoing projects are shelved
 
Digital data: Digital data is stored on disk (NAS) with RAID backup system, accessible at any time. Copies of data can be made at your request on the medium of your choice.
